New Caledonia, Noumea, Oceania 21, Meetings, third edition of the Oceanian summit on sustainable development, representatives of 17 South Pacific
countries, 28, 29 and 30 April, climate change, roundable in the wake of Cyclone PAM in the Pacific, Oceania summit leaders, Ministers and representatives finalised the meetings with the “Lifou Declaration” called “Save Oceania”.
Observations included: that the Pacific region is the main victim of the climate change,
all the countries have to reduce urgently there CO2 emissions and restore Ocean’s health, In the perspective of COP21 - Paris Climate Conference 2015 planned in Paris this december, the solutions proposed by Oceania 21 conference are:
to create common educational programs in the South Pacific region,
empower scientific research and traditional knowledge, as well as to find and relocate specific finance for climate change effects.
